| Posted: 06 Apr 2012 09:30 PM PDT The 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition is the venue in which the Chrysler Group is set to unveil two design concepts celebrating its return to China: a Year of the Dragon-themed Jeep Wrangler, which we looked at earlier, and a more subtly designed Chrysler 300C. The Detroit automaker says the 300C was “created specifically with Chinese elements in mind,” though the influences aren’t immediately clear in these teaser images. The vehicle features a blacked out exterior, with mesh grille, new front bumper, unique alloy wheels and leather seatbacks embossed with stylized gusts of wind. | Nike Kukini Free – Black-White Posted: 06 Apr 2012 08:30 PM PDT Nike’s reworking of its cult classic Kukini style takes the slip-on silhouette and fuses it with a contrast white Nike Free 5.0 sole. The lightweight shoe features an upper built with a stretchy Dynamic Fit material good for a comfortably snug fit, plus durable Phylite sole with Nike Free flex grooves providing barefoot-like natural movement. Plastic anthracite webbing delivers a lockdown feel in lieu of traditional laces. Carbon rubber supplies durability to high-wear areas, while pull tabs at the tongue and heel offer added convenience. | Jeep Wrangler – Year of the Dragon Concept Posted: 06 Apr 2012 08:00 PM PDT Chrysler is recognizing its return to the China market by unveiling a special Year of the Dragon edition of the Jeep Wrangler at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition later this month. The design motif is dominated by dragon iconography — it’s the Jeep with the dragon tattoo — highlighted by the mythic creature on the hood and along the side, but the most impressively ornate design appears on the underside of the hood. The exterior is finished with lacquer black paint with gold accents and trim throughout, plus upgraded LED lights housed inside Wrangler’s signature round headlamps. | Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Camo’ | Preview Posted: 06 Apr 2012 07:30 PM PDT It’s always been around, but camo seems to be enjoying an uptick in popularity these days. Perhaps it has something to do with the pattern showing up outside the streetwear landscape and appearing on gentleman’s brogues and pocket squares, but Nike Sportswear is co-opting the iconic design on behalf of the sneakerhead subculture for an upcoming Air Force 1. This recently surfaced image indicates a premium build, featuring a seamless upper finished with a traditional green-and-brown woodland camo, with a leather-lined interior and unique 30th anniversary footbed. | Acura x The Avenvers -Tony Stark’s NSX Roadster Posted: 06 Apr 2012 07:00 PM PDT Acura and Marvel Entertainment have entered into a promotional partnership centered around the upcoming Avengers movie, in which Tony Stark will drive this Acura NSX roadster created specifically for the film. Following Acura’s integration within last year’s Thor, the Japanese automaker is poised to become the official vehicle of S.H.I.E.L.D., the international peacekeeping agency from the Marvel Universe. Throughout the Avengers film, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will be seen behind the wheel of various Acura models. But for those hoping that Tony Stark’s ride augurs the imminent reappearance of the NSX in Acura showrooms, Acura says they’ll have to wait at least until 2015. via: Autoblog

It’s hard to improve on a classic, but Ray-Ban has reworked the style with discreet hinges at the arms and bridge that allow the frame to be folded up into an ultra-compact form for easy stowing. The shades, in the traditional black colorway with the instantly recognizable Ray-Ban logo on the sculpted temple, are available now at Ray-Ban retailers like Virginia’s Need Supply.

Taking the mound for the Bronx Bombers was the club’s ace and workhorse, C.C. Sabathia. The perennial Cy Young candidate, whose consistency almost makes him underrated, is expected to lead the Yankees to another division title (if not World Series championship No. 28). | Posted: 06 Apr 2012 05:00 PM PDT If the design of the Rennholz - or ‘Race Wood’ in German – alone doesn’t blow you away, probably the fact that this creative low-profile vehicle can hit 15 mph powered only by an electric drills should do the trick. The product of three design students from the University of Applied Science and Arts in Hildesheim, Germany, the project took 10 weeks from initial sketches to its unveiling at the school’s bi-annual race, which only allows vehicles powered by electric drills. The Wooden Racer was first modeled out with aluminum before it was custom-fabricated using only bent plywood and other pieces lifted off of bikes. Capable of running for about 10 minutes using a fully charged drill and simply amazing to look at, it kind of makes you want to re-think your goals for the summer.

| 24 Kilates x Asics Gel Saga Teaser Posted: 06 Apr 2012 04:30 PM PDT Barcelona’s 24 Kilates has teamed up for another go-round with Asics, this time on the classic Gel Saga style, a lightweight runner first introduced in 1990. The shoe features an upper dressed with a black nylon inlay with suede forest green overlay, plus hits of red at the tongue and heel. Additional details include green leather side stripes with contrast yellow trim, black laces printed with “24 Kilates” and tipped with gold aglets, and of course custom Asics Gel cushioning for added comfort. Look for the shoe to release later this month.
