Aston Martin – Project AM 310 Concept | Video Posted: 30 May 2012 06:00 AM PDT Aston Martin premiered their latest Project AM 310 concept vehicle at the Concorso dEleganza Villa d’Este. This sports car is said to take over where the DB9 and DBS left off, commanding a lot of attention at the open-air show in Italy. Aside from its modern styling, reports claim that this coupe will be based on the VH design, which is uniform in Aston Martin‘s entire lineup of cars. As you can hear in the video below, the Project AM 310 breathes out a deep throaty tone from its exhaust, which should be coming from the same 6.0-liter V12 engine as the first DB7. via: Autoblog

Felix Heyes + Ben West – Google 2012 Image Book Posted: 30 May 2012 02:00 AM PDT We have come to use Google as more than just an online search engine, rightfully so as the company is growing exponentially, yet we may be getting used to the ever-evolving nature of the online giant. Two UK designers, Felix Heyes and Ben West, got together to compile a book featuring the images found on the famous search engine. Though one may argue that the images on the search engine are ever changing, this compilation is a representation of the year 2012. The pair used a specially designed script to filter through 21,000 words found in English dictionary, and found the first corresponding image for each word. Simply titled Google, there are 1,240 pages inside the hand bound, hard cover book, displaying the images which portrays the current year. via: designboom

Eric Clapton x Ferrari SP12 EC Posted: 29 May 2012 10:00 PM PDT Eric Clapton is enough of a Ferrari enthusiast that the Italian automaker’s Special Projects Program in Maranello, in collaboration with Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina, designed and built the special SP12 EC one-off for the living guitar legend. The vehicle is inspired by the original 458 Italia, with body panels inspired by the 1980s V12-powered 512 BB, a model with which Clapton was so enamored he purchased three of them over the years. Estimates put the value of the SP12 EC at around $5 million. Slowhand likened his participation in the project as “being in front of a gigantic blank canvas that had to be painted on,” adding that the process was “an incredible experience, one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done.”

Jay-Z & Kanye West – “No Church In The Wild” | Featuring Frank Ocean & The-Dream Posted: 29 May 2012 08:00 PM PDT Following “Otis” and “Ni**s in Paris,” Jay-Z and Kanye have debuted the third video off their platinum-selling opus Watch the Throne. The single is “No Church in the Wild,” featuring Frank Ocean and The-Dream, with production duties handled by 88 Keys, and the accompanying video is directed by Romain Gavras, the man responsible for M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls.” Cinematic in scope and shot last month on the streets of Prague, the video was previewed during the European leg of the Watch the Throne World Tour. It depicts rioting in defiance of an oppressive military regime, carrying no overt message but filled with political subtext nonetheless. There’s no sign of either high-profile rapper, but the short film remains highly engaging. Check it out below.
