| ThinkGeek – Bolt Action Tactical Pen Posted: 20 Apr 2012 08:59 PM PDT ThinkGeek brings us a pen that finally lives up to the idea that the pen can be mightier than the sword with the new Bolt Action Tactical Pen. Featuring an actual bolt action slide that locks the tip securely in place like the ones found on rifles, this blacked-out pen is a great addition to your everyday carry. Made from milled anodized aluminum, this is clearly not an average click pen; even its clip is integrated into the pen body meaning you’re going to have to really, really (really) try to snap this one off during your next mind-numbing meeting. Known as the the Rastafarian Pack, the line includes 4 different timepieces – G-001RF-9JF, G-7900RF-1JF, GD-100RF-4JF, and GA-110RF-9AJF, each adorned with Rastafarian colors of green, gold (yellow), red, and black. Additionally, the watches are all water-proof and virtually impervious to dust, sand, vibration, or whatever Mother Nature has to throw them. | Nike Soccer – U.S. National Team – 2012/2013 Men’s and Women’s Home Kit Posted: 20 Apr 2012 08:00 PM PDT Drawing inspiration from the American flag, Nike Soccer for the first time release similarly designed jerseys for both the U.S. Men’s and Women‘s 2012/2013 Home Kit. Balanced between a blue collar and shorts, the red and white striped top also retains the subtle tonal sash worn by the Men’s National Team when they famously defeated England in the 1950 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Both kits are also identically constructed with fabric that is 23 percent lighter and is treated with Nike Dri-Fit technology that, when combined with the laser-cut ventilation holes, help to better regulate temperatures on the pitch. These red and white’s are also very green; each is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles and at least 96% recycled polyester throughout the kit. The U.S. Men’s team will debut the new kit when they face Scotland on May 26 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla while the U.S. Women will don their new threads for the first time against China on May 27 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. | Lamborghini x BMC – Limited Edition Bicycle | Preview Posted: 20 Apr 2012 01:16 PM PDT The latest bike-car collaboration is to come from Italian super car marque Lamborghini and BMC of Switzerland. Known as the BMC Impec Automobili Lamborghini Edition, the all carbon-fiber road bike is a premium derivative of BMC Impec bikes. It also shares design traits with the model rode by cyclist Cadel Evans to his win at last year’s Tour de France. To feature accents in Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4′s “Argos Orange”, the BMC Impec Automobili Lamborghini Edition will also include suede-cover handlebar and saddle, all crafted by Lamborghini artisans. Along with the luxurious trim, the bike will be quip with SRAM Red and Shinano DuraAce Di2 electronic group set, 60mm MAVIC Cosmic aero wheels, and Lamborghini’s “House of Raging Bull” emblem at the front. Similar to another 2-wheel exotic, the Specialized S-Works + McLaren Venge, price for the BMC Impec Automobili Lamborghini Edition is set around EU€ 20,000, or US $35,000, only 30 will be made by BMC. If you’re a part of the cycling world in some way or you’ve always wanted to get into the mind of a few of the boldest road riders brave enough to tackle the streets of L.A. (or any major city), check out this video preview of an article in May’s The Red Bulletin about Don “Roadblock” Ward and his crew aiming to reinvigorate L.A.’s urban cycling community shot by Macaframa. Roadblock is one of the key members of a fast-growing team of cyclists who organize late-night, LED-filled group rides that include members from every facet of the biking community — from blue-collar commuters, to the homeboys on “fixies,” and the serious road racers — called the Wolfpack Hustle in an effort to both pursue their passion on some of the fastest routes and raise awareness of the thrills and dangers of riding in a car-dominated city. Overtime, the group also formed the city’s essential alternative cycling guide, Midnight Ridazz,whose publishing team has stepped into full the role of meeting facilitator, advocacy group, and outlet, a team that Roadblock also plays a key role in.
