| Mighty-Mac by Michael Tapia – Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Posted: 19 Mar 2012 05:00 AM PDT 35 Summers is a Japanese company which specializes in bringing over foreign brands into the Japanese market and more importantly, reviving vintage foreign brands. Rocky Mountain Featherbed is their famous resurrection handy work and Mighty-Mac is another label which is gaining more popularity in Japan and around the world. The sailing and boating label, which originated from Massachusetts, is partnering up with Michael Tapia for a capsule collection. Tapia is a well known designer and consultant who have worked with many brands from Ralph Lauren, colette, Bergdorf Goodman, United Arrows, and plenty others. This collection fuses the two brands together to form a contemporary sailing inspired range that can be worn on land. United Arrows in Japan is currently stocking the whole line in their stores and on their web shop.

| Yuketen Birds Triangle Back Pack Posted: 19 Mar 2012 04:00 AM PDT A new version of the classic Triangle Back Pack has been released from Yuketen. Though unlike its predecessors, this backpack is decorated with colorful flowers, birds, and butterflies. There is a slow return to patterned fabrics from various designers and Yuketen may be moving towards utilizing more patterns as well. The all white waxed cotton exterior is water resistant, while the brightly colored orange lining provides contrast. Finishing off the bag are the leather accents that highlights the shoulder straps, zip pulls and fasteners, and patches in natural tones. For its first ever collaboration with an international retailer, Singapore’s premiere sneaker boutique Limited Edt. have the honors of producing two limited edition sneakers. The base for this project is the popular Propulsion Hi model, designed to with a neo-futuristic twist. Both shoes are highlighted by the use of mirror-finish leather on the uppers, set off against smooth black velvet on the toe box and heel panels. On the neoprene ankle collar, hides the corresponding store names – Vault on the red pair and Chamber on the turquoise pair – giving an indication of where it will be sold. | Chrysler – 2012 300S Customized | By John Varvatos Posted: 18 Mar 2012 10:00 PM PDT American fashion designer John Varvatos teams up with Chrysler to design a one-of-a-kind 2012 300S, which has been transformed with inspiration by Varvatos’ own clothing line that will be auctioned off to help raise funds for the Stuart House. Varvatos’ 300S features 20-inch wheels finished in a sleek carbon satin finish, chrome accents, door trim and seats lined with black woven leather, and even more leather on the instrument panel, console, armrests, and two-tone steering wheel. The lucky winner can pick from either the stock 3.6-liter Pentastar engine, which puts 292 horses under the hood with 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter Hemi, which puts 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque down to the wheels. All proceeds from the auction, which ends on Tuesday, March 20, will benefit the Stuart House and their counseling programs for children who have been sexually assaulted. via: CarScoop
