| Posted: 20 Mar 2012 06:00 AM PDT April will see a rush of exciting new books launching from Rizzoli, and French street artist Fafi will be dropping hers on early April as well. The avante garde female artist was one of the first to stand out amongst the male dominated street art scene. She provoked the viewers with her feminine illustrative style, catching the attention of major brands at the same time and sparking countless collaborations. Thereafter she rapidly expanded her fan base around the globe and made way for other female street artists to shine. This latest book from Fafi is titled The Carmine Vault and it is a fictional graphic novel centered around Birtak, who desires to join the Paris Opéra Ballet. This book will be available at Rizzoli stockists around the world from Wednesday, April 3rd.

New York City’s bicycle boutique Chari & Co. is dropping some t-shirts for the warmer months ahead. There are a good range of colorways and designs to choose from, and all of them are currently in stock at their retail store and on their online shop. The cycling themed designs revolve around their shop name and for this release their good friend Mike Hernandez was invited again to model the products. | John Cardiel x Chrome – Fortnight | Video Posted: 20 Mar 2012 04:00 AM PDT The last of the three part video series from Chrome is now online. In this video, legendary skateboarder and cycling enthusiast John Cardiel showcases the latest Fortnight backpack. It is the largest bag in the Attack Division collection and this bag is designed to be weather proof and ultra lightweight. Ballistic nylon materials are used on the bottom panel for additional durability and a military grade 18 oz. truck tarpaulin lines the interior. Comfort is improved by the ergonomic shoulder straps and EVA foam padded back paneling. As with all of the other releases, Cardiel made a promotional video highlighting the recommended use of the backpack. Check out the video and detailed photos after the jump.

| Sneakersnstuff x Milkcrate Athletics x New Balance – Interview with the Designers | Video Posted: 20 Mar 2012 03:00 AM PDT We previewed the Sneakersnstuff x Milkcrate Athletics x New Balance 577 sneakers last week and now, SneakersNStuff have uploaded a short video interview conducted with Aaron LaCrate who is behind the Milkcrate Athletics label. The video gives an insight into the history of Milkcrate Athletics for those who are not aware of the brand, as well as the motivation behind the design choice and the colorways for the project. Also featured in the interview are Peter and Erik from SneakersNStuff, who give their points of view on the collaboration and their relationship with Milkcrate Athletics and LaCrate. | OHWOW – José Parlá + Luis Gispert Book Signing | NYC Posted: 20 Mar 2012 02:00 AM PDT If one book singing is not enough for one month, as OHWOW hosted a book signing for Scott Campbell last Friday, they are going to double the fun by attempting two book signings in one single night. José Parlá will be on hand to autograph his CHARACTER GESTURES book while Luis Gispert will be signing his latest publication titled DECEPCIÓN. Parlá‘s book chronicles the latest works by the abstract artist and Gispert‘s book explores the culture of custom counterfeit fashion. It is not everyday that we are given the opportunity to meet such great artists in one single venue. If you have not picked up either of the books yet, be sure to drop by the OHWOW Book Club this Friday. OHWOW Book Club Event Date: March 23rd, 2012 (Friday) 6 pm – 8pm

| Solemart Paris 2012 | Event Recap Posted: 20 Mar 2012 12:00 AM PDT With colette Carnaval as the perfect backdrop, 2012 edition of Solemart Paris got underway a little over a week ago. Hosted by Solebox and La MJC, the sizable sneaker swap-meet took place at the fairgrounds of Le Jardin des Tuileries. But there were moments that even the large circus tent could not accommodate all who came to visit as a record number of visitors descended on the event. The deal making got hot and heavy right from the start as many bargain hunters sought exclusives not available elsewhere. But one odd spectacle of the event was the lack of any Foamposites despite the riotous craze over them this side of the Atlantic. Maybe next year… Photo by: L.Patrick Simensen

| Kinetics x New Era – Leopard Pack Posted: 19 Mar 2012 11:00 PM PDT Japanese retailer Kinetics has teamed up with New Era on two styles of 9FIFTY snapback caps, both prominently featuring a leopard print motif. One has the distinctive animal print on the crown of the cap with a black embroidered Kinetics logo and black brim, while the other has a solid black crown with white Kinetics branding and leopard brim. Stitched New Era flag on the left side and branded taping at the interior complete the look. Both hats would represent the ideal finishing touch to the leopard themed portion of the Animal Pack that Kinetics released with adidas Originals a month ago. They’re in stock now Kinetic’s online store.

| Creation Gallery G8 – “227 Jucchu Hachiku” Exhibition | Tokyo, Japan Posted: 19 Mar 2012 09:00 PM PDT Specializing in graphic design and visual communication, the Creation Gallery G8 in Tokyo’s Ginza district is currently hosting an exhibition, entitled “227: Jucchu Hachiku”, showcasing ten of the brightest lights of China’s new generation of artists, who work in a variety of media spanning graphic design, typography, illustration, photography and digital media. The artists are: Francis Lam, Fish Ho, Radio Woon, Gino Woo, Meng Ling, Morris Lee and More Tong. Those artists not pictured in the gallery below are Javin Mo, Benny Luk and Qian Qian. | Fred Segal Man x Robert Geller Collection Posted: 19 Mar 2012 07:30 PM PDT Robert Geller has partnered with quintessential L.A. retailer Fred Segal Man on a four-piece capsule collection that infuses a bit of laid back SoCal cool to the designer’s darkly romantic aesthetic. Those items are: a black garment-dyed Japanese denim rider jacket; fade-dye hooded sweatshirt with raglan cutoff sleeves; “Oceanside” reversible sleeveless tee; and a pair of cropped Japanese denim jeans in a distinctive neon green hue. The latter two pieces are a nod to the designer’s “Beuys Don’t Cry” collection from 2008, while the entire capsule presents casual easy-to-wear looks that play to Southern California and beyond. LeBron is currently posting the highest single-season Player Efficiency Rating of all time, and his stellar defensive play has many arguing that he should win defensive player of the year accolades as well as the MVP crown.
