Posted: 22 Mar 2012 06:00 AM PDT One of the key design elements of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Stussy is the implementation of the popular tiger stripe camouflage pattern. The original tiger stripe pattern is said to have been developed by the US Army and South Vietnamese Armed Forces for jungle warfare. These bags and accessories feature the unique thin striped camouflage pattern as its principal fabric, sewn together with plain gray and black materials for added contrast. Yellow straps on the bags act as highlights, brightening up the dark exterior. All of these items are available at select Stussy stores around the world, or take a look at the Stussy Japan online shop. |

Posted: 22 Mar 2012 03:00 AM PDT Some of you may be aware of the BNE Water Foundation set up by the once infamous graffiti writer BNE. The non-profit organization aims to help provide clean water to those without access to clean water. To illustrate how the organization’s works and who is benefiting from the donations, BNE has compiled a video which outlines the whole project in an easy to understand summary video. BNE Water Foundation is partnering up with Drink Local Drink Tap (US NPO) to channel their donations to the needy in Africa. In this particular video they focus on a small village in Mulajje village in Luwero district of Central Uganda. It does not take much to help the less fortunate and water is definitely one of the lifelines of life that needs to be improved in these parts of the world. Watch the short film below and learn about the charity organization. |

Posted: 21 Mar 2012 10:00 PM PDT Nike is giving us indications that the Footscape Free will be getting a fairly substantial push this season, as we’ve already seen various incarnations of the shoe that has it dressed with ripstop nylon in a series of eye-catching bright hues. A new colorway represents a rather muted design approach that tempers the avant-garde styling of the reworked hybrid sneaker, featuring a predominantly beige upper crafted from stitched leather, plus a fully lined leather interior in a light salmon shade for a decidedly elevated look and feel. The understated kicks are in stock now at Japan’s Calif. |

Posted: 21 Mar 2012 07:01 PM PDT Designer David Reisenberg has been waiting for Canon to release its mirrorless camera system, but the anticipation made him feel restless. In his own words, “I decided to put to paper, or rather to CAD and rendering software, my vision of such a camera. After about a month of learning, debating, modeling and rendering, the Canon AE-D came to life.” The Canon AE-D Mirrorless Camera System Concept uses a full-frame 18.1 megapixel sensor borrowed from the Canon 1DX, plus a “CM-D” Lens mount that fits all EF Lenses with an adapter, including a concept 50mm f/1.0L prime kit lens with direct aperture control. Finally, the detachable viewfinder incorporates the prism hump of the AE cameras. A handsome retro-inspired case is the icing on the cake. Check out more looks following the click. via: Gear Patrol |
