Jackass x New Era – Cap Collection Posted: 30 Mar 2012 06:00 AM PDT The dangerously funny and now defunct Jackass raised more than few eyebrows in its three season existence on MTV. Even with the controversies and scenes too painful to laugh at times, the show garnered cult status before its closure. For die hard fans, these special collection of caps made by New Era may be a good way to remember the glory days of Jackass. To cater for everybody’s needs, there are two styles of 59FIFTY fitted caps and 9FIFTY snapback caps produced. Each cap features the famous skull and crutches logo on the front and Jackass text embroidered on the back. via: hayabusa.bz

2012 Red Hook Criterium | Event Recap Posted: 30 Mar 2012 02:00 AM PDT Perhaps many may have already speculated that Dan Chabanov, then two time champion of Red Hook Criterium, would in fact take the winning spot at the latest race. Although the other riders were definitely not backing off from the challenge and gave their all last Saturday night. The unsanctioned street race in Brooklyn got underway with around 30 riders competing from all around the country and around the globe. It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the competitors as there were some spills and crashes adding to the already high energy event. In the end though Chabanov took the win when he gained momentum from the 4th lap dropping everyone else behind. Rainier Schaefer did his best to keep up and snatched the second place, closely followed by Evan Murphy who came in third. Check out the event photos by John Watson after the jump.

Could This Be The Upcoming CONVERSE x Jordan Brand Collaboration For Charity? Posted: 30 Mar 2012 12:30 AM PDT Okay, its not. Rather, this CONVERSE Pro Leather sample was a previous attempt, as part of the Defining Moments Pack, to commemorate Michael Jordan’s contribution to the UNC-Chapel Hill win in 1982. It is quite apparent that the design failed in several aspects, reasons why both Jordan Brand and CONVERSE yanked the project before it got started. Now, the question is will the upcoming CONVERSE x Jordan Brand collab be something remotely similar in design? Or will it be something completely different? We will find out soon enough as the charity auction is set for next Monday, April 2nd. Image via: CounterKicks

Lamborghini Ferruccio – 50th Anniversary Concept | By Mark Hostler Posted: 29 Mar 2012 09:30 PM PDT Next year Lamborghini will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, a milestone that Mark Hostler, a transportation design student at Staffordshire University, is recognizing with his Lamborghini Ferruccio concept. The sloping front end and extra wide rear were inspired by the Countach, while the rounded shapes of the front and rear wings are a nod to the Miura’s curved lines. The sharp nose and aggressively styled air intakes throughout the body and roof are modeled after Lamborghini’s current “stealth fighter” design template. Though the Ferruccio concept is a supercar, it makes concessions to environmentalism by using a V12 engine that’s relatively smaller at 5.0 liters, with its valves actuated by pneumatic solenoids controlled by a computer. The result is a vehicle that’s still informed with the DNA of Lamborghini, but powered by a cleaner and more efficient engine. Check out more looks in the gallery below. via: Tuvie

SUPER – Visiva Series – Spring 2012 Posted: 29 Mar 2012 07:30 PM PDT Part of the reason for SUPER‘s success is the decorative prints that finish many of their most popular sunglass styles. It’s a feature that highlights the latest release from the brand’s Spring 2012 Offshore Collection. Dubbed the Visiva Series, the assortment of frames offers classic silhouettes with a twist, showcasing solid colors on the outside and distinctive allover prints on the interior side. Each frame “can just as easily be worn by the 60-year-old elegant cigar-smoking man as the 20-year-old girl rollerblading on the Santa Monica Pier.” The prints, drawn from beach-themed postcards from the ’70s and ’80s, adorn classic silhouettes like the Basic, Ciccio and Flat Top, as well as newer models the America, Paloma and Racer. Each pair comes packaged in a matching printed box. Find the collection now at SUPER’s online store.
