CLOT x Stussy – Taiwan Pop-Up Store Exclusive Collection | By Matthew Williams Posted: 31 Mar 2012 12:36 AM PDT For those who are not steeped in geopolitical intrigues, there are actually two nations with the name “China”. The most familiar variant is one with aspiration to become the next superpower, also known as People’s Republic of China. The other “China” is more commonly refer as Taiwan. And because of unresolved issues between the two, Taiwan is unable to use its original designation of Republic of China in official capacity. Its also the moot point to the exclusive collection for CLOT x Stussy – Taiwan Pop-Up Store. Originally devised by Matthew Williams, the former creative director for Lady Gaga, whose most famous project was to jumpstart the now iconic “Supreme x Lady Gaga” advertisement campaign. Not one to withered under pressure, Williams knew of the controversy and the collection’s potential to stir up senses of nationalism and anger on both sides. Its largely because of the “Republic of China” imprints and insignias, all featured prominently on the collection’s snapback caps and graphic tees. While rather simple in features at a glance, they still invoke a great deal of animosity none the less. In total, the collection comprised of three graphic tees and snapback caps, also in three designs, all are now available in limited numbers at the newly opened CLOT x Stussy – Taiwan Pop-Up Store in Taipei City. CLOT x Stussy – Taiwan Pop-Up Store | Opens Today Posted: 30 Mar 2012 09:34 PM PDT After more than a decade of clamoring for one, Taiwanese fans of Stussy can finally rejoice as the lifestyle label’s first ever pop-up store open its doors this morning. Already the most anticipated opening of the season, the creation of this temporary storefront was largely an effort from Edison Chen and Kevin Poon of CLOT. With this new location, not only will all of current Stussy offerings be available, the store also carries an exclusive commemorative collection done by Matthew Williams, former creative director for Lady Gaga. But as with all things Stussy, supplies are limited so get yours before they are sold out. CLOT x Stussy – Taiwan Pop-Up Store

New Balance 990 Presidential Pack | For President Barack Obama Posted: 30 Mar 2012 06:40 PM PDT The 2012 Presidential Election is still seven months away, yet most political pundits will tell that this particular campaign season might just be the most contentious if not the most costly one. And while he might be trailing in the polls at certain portion of the Union, the Commander-In-Chief has plenty of supporters as well, from a special pair of Jordan Spiz'ike from Spike Lee to this New Balance from Maine. In part to thank but also to remind him of America’s manufacturing sector, US Representative Michael Michaud of Maine asked New Balance’s Norridgewock plant to customize a pair of New Balance 990 for President Barack Obama. Embellished with “President Obama” around the heel and “Handmade in the United States” on the heel tab, Rep. Michaud will make the case that military footwears and training gears should be “Made in the USA”. In a brief statement, the the Congressman wrote:
Who knows but there might just be a hidden closet somewhere in the White House with the President’s very own stash… via The Kennebec Journal

Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Low Posted: 30 Mar 2012 06:00 PM PDT Being that 2012 marks the 30th Anniversary of Air Force 1, designers at Nike and Nike Sportswear have already set the groundwork for several spectacular launch throughout the year. It all started at the end of January with Year of the Dragon edition, followed by the Pearl Collection and its trio of exclusive designs. Also, let us not forget the monthly special design options through NIKEiD customization program. Now, we’re jumping ahead to Holiday 2012 with this, the Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Low. In identical construct as the Nike Air Foamposite Pro, this Metallic Pewter-colored Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Low, which you can differentiate from the Foamposite One by its large Swoosh, is just one of two samples to be seen thus far (the other colorway is Retro Blue). And since this year marks an important milestone, there is little doubt that more Nike Air Force 1, like this, will make an appearance soon. The question is will you be able to buy each and one of them? via: HS
