| White Mountaineering – Seam Taping 5oz Chambray Western Shirt Posted: 04 Apr 2012 05:00 AM PDT Seam taping is commonly seen inside technical apparel for improving water proofing properties. Yosuke Aizawa transferred the aesthetics of the seam tapes, applying them onto normal garments to improve its style. This shirt is constructed from three 5 ounce chambray fabrics, further treated to give them an used feel. Even though the seam tapes can no be seen ordinarily, it acts as a hidden detail that will only reveal itself once in a while. All of the buttons on the shirt is custom made White Mountaineering snap buttons, harmonizing perfectly with the chambray fabric. This item is available at FIGURE SHIZUOKA in Japan at the moment.

| Subaru – WRX with Tracks on Auction | Video Posted: 04 Apr 2012 04:00 AM PDT Our jaws dropped when Ken Block showed us his Subaru WRX STI Trax and it was a beast on the snowy terrain. Many dreamed about it but there was a WRX owner in North America who made it his reality. This 2002 WRX is fitted with the American Track Truck Dominator tracks, a lightweight conversion to turn any road vehicle into snow plowing monster. Apart from the tracks, the Subaru is standard and it is currently on auction at eBay. If you are in doubt of its performance on the snow, the video demonstration below should clarify any doubt you may have.

| JR x Liu Bolin – Elizabeth Street Artwork Behind the Scenes | Video Posted: 04 Apr 2012 03:00 AM PDT Individually, French artist JR and Chinese artist Liu Bolin have gained tremendous amount of press for their works. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that when these two artists met up in New York City from the opposite sides of the globe, magic was bound to happen. Photos from their collaboration have circulated around the internet, and now we have some behind the scenes footage from Roberts Horowitz Creative. JR patiently stands in front of his own wheat paste, waiting for Liu Bolin and his assistants to turn him into his artwork. | Mercedes-Benz – 2012 C63 AMG | By Vorsteiner Posted: 04 Apr 2012 02:00 AM PDT There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, but tuners seem to make the standard vehicle look like a sub-standard version. One tuner who have done a great job on the two door coupe is Vorsteiner, who tweaked the 2012 version. Aggressive lines are exaggerated with their custom body kit, huge grill, and two-tone break up. It sits on 19 inch wheels on the front and slightly bigger 20 inch wheels on the rear, and it roars courtesy of stanless steel or titanium sports exhaust system. | CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star Hi & Ox – French-Madras Pack Posted: 03 Apr 2012 11:00 PM PDT There are few fabrics that evoke the long days of spring and summer better than cotton madras. Traditionalists will insist that the lightweight material is meant to be dressed in plaid or patterns in vibrant colors, meaning that madras should never make the acquaintance of subtlety. Clearly the design team at Converse Japan received the memo, having introduced this French Madras Pack of Chuck Taylor styles in two different colorways — one primarily yellow, the other with a blue base — that are equally showy. Each shoe features a white rubber toe cap, white foxing and black foxing stripe, as well as contrast stitching throughout the upper. Check out more looks following the click.

| Google Art Project – Expansion Posted: 03 Apr 2012 10:00 PM PDT The Google Art Project began in January 2011 with the lofty goal of allowing users access to views of artworks in 17 participating museums. Google announced on Tuesday, April 3rd, that the project has now been expanded to include 151 institutions in 40 different countries around the world (when the program launched, it spanned the United States and eight European nations). Instead of around 1,000 paintings, visitors will now have the ability to get close-up looks of 32,000 works through ultra-high resolutions images, encompassing paintings, photographs, sculptures and even textiles and ceramics. Google Art Project also provides a virtual tour of 46 museums using Google Street technology, featuring images larger than a gigapixel (1 billion pixels). | New NYC Taxi – Nissan Cab Unveiled Posted: 03 Apr 2012 09:30 PM PDT If Hollywood ever attempts a Taxi Driver remake set in present-day New York City, they’d better do it soon because Travis Bickle just won’t be the same driving around the city in one of New York’s new minivan taxis. NYC, meet the Nissan NV200, your taxi cab of tomorrow. Starting in late 2013, this Nissan front-wheel-drive minivan will slowly take over the city streets, with all current taxi models scheduled to be entirely phased out by 2018. The vehicle has sliding doors, a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine and driver/passenger intercoms. It fits four passengers and their luggage and features a full-length glass roof to offer tourists an unobstructed view of the passing skyscrapers. Busy New Yorkers on the go will love the built-in mobile charging station with 12-volt electrical outlet and two USB ports. Finally, anti-microbial seat fabric mimics the look and feel of leather, while curtain airbags for both front and rear seat occupants provide added safety. Check out more looks following the click.

| The Hundreds Santa Monica 1 Year Anniversary Video Posted: 03 Apr 2012 07:00 PM PDT The Hundreds Santa Monica celebrated its first birthday this past Saturday, drawing a huge turnout that had long lines assembling early in the day, even in spite of the uncharacteristic Southern Californian rain. The crowd enjoyed free food and drinks, as well as special performances by Casey Veggies and opener DJ Dyer. The police presence may have put a temporary halt to the festivities, but it appears to have just been a minor hiccup, as the party atmosphere in the packed house seems to have been unrelenting. | Lakai – Brandon Biebel “Just Kicking It” | Video Posted: 03 Apr 2012 06:00 PM PDT Who among us hasn’t wanted to fling our putter into the water after muffing a can’t-miss putt, or snap a Louisville Slugger over our knee, Bo Jackson style, after popping out to the shortstop? In a new ad from Lakai promoting the Brandon Biebel 3 shoe, Brandon demonstrates the dangers of taking one’s frustrations out on the equipment. After slamming his deck onto the pavement one too many times, it suddenly becomes sentient — as well as big, imposing and angry. Brandon takes a blow propelling him right out of his shoes, but the upside is you get a nice, long look at the kicks. Check out the video following the click.

| Land Rover – “Drive The Extraordinary” Off-Road Course | New York City Posted: 03 Apr 2012 05:30 PM PDT Land Rover in the United States is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. As part of the festivities commemorating the milestone, Land Rover North America, in conjunction with the New York Auto Show, invited prospective customers to drive 2012 model year vehicles through the Land Rover Experience obstacle course, a custom-built off-road “urban jungle adventure.” (Drivers registered online for the event, which began on Saturday and wrapped today.) The site, located at the heart of New York City’s West Chelsea, or Meatpacking District, also had heritage Land Rover models on display, including the 1987 Range Rover, 1993 Land Rover 110, 1995 Range Rover Classic, 1995 Camel Trophy Discovery and a 1997 Defender soft top.
