Cadence x LOOP MAGAZINE – Loop T-Shirt Posted: 06 Apr 2012 04:00 AM PDT San Francisco based cycle wear brand Cadence was established by Dustin Klein, who was the original member of MASH and Fast Friday. Klein is still a key force in the fixed gear community and his line is becoming popular around the world. LOOP MAGAZINE took the opportunity to work with Klein on a limited run of Loop t-shirts. The front graphic was conceived by Klein and features the brand logos looping around in a circle. Basic black and white colorways are available and all of the t-shirts are produced strictly to order. Place your pre-order now at the LOOP MAGAZINE online store. The cut off date is Tuesday, April, 10th and delivery will take place around the end of this month.

LOSERS – New Sneaker Brand From Japan Posted: 05 Apr 2012 11:00 PM PDT Debuting this month is a new sneaker brand from Harajuku, Tokyo — LOSERS, by Japanese designer Sneaker Wolf, who’s collaborated previously with the likes of Nike and New Balance. The LOSERS brand is making a splash in the Japanese sneaker firmament, receiving plenty of media exposure highlighted by a three-page showcase in the Shoes Master publication. The brand’s sneakers styles — comprising the Schooler Mid and Lo, Transporter and Unseaker — were worn by models on the runway at the Whiz Limited show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO last month. The sneakers feature clean lines and classic designs, and are available at select retailers in Japan. Go to the brand’s site for more info.

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 10:00 PM PDT New Balance’s H710 boot was designed with help from expert mountaineers to craft a lightweight hiker that blends New Balance’s brand of enhanced-comfort engineering with a superior level of durability that can withstand all manner of terrain or weather conditions. A trio of new styles features the earmarks of a vintage runner more than the typical outdoor boot, with a combination textile and suede upper with punch through eyelets in lieu of D-ring lacing, plus woven flat laces rather than the rope laces we’re used to seeing. Additional details include highly flexible rubber lug sole and die-cut EVA. Available in red, khaki or blue colorways, the shoe is in stock now at atmos. atmos Tokyo

Hennessy x Manny Pacquiao “What’s Your Wild Rabbit” Posted: 05 Apr 2012 08:30 PM PDT Hennessy’s “What’s Your Wild Rabbit?” campaign is the rather oblique — if poetic — celebration of the pursuit of one’s dreams. Created by the Droga5 agency in New York, the campaign essentially asks “What drives you?” and features the tagline “Never stop. Never settle.” Using spokespeople who engage the personal values of the company’s core target, Hennessy seeks to address those who are always striving to realize their potential, just as Hennessy has been attempting to make the perfect Cognac, even after 248 years of business. The newest commercial centers around boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, tracing his ascension from his humble beginnings in the Philippines to the bright lights of Las Vegas. His wild rabbit? “Fighting the fights that really matter,” says the congressman-slash-world champion. The video — plus an accompanying behind-the-scenes look — follow the jump.

PUMA Clyde | Footasylum Exclusive Colorway Posted: 05 Apr 2012 08:00 PM PDT In 1973 PUMA customized a shoe for Walt “Clyde” Frazier, creating the world’s first signature basketball shoe. Frazier was a fitting recipient — he was a seven-time NBA All-Star, two-time champion with the New York Knicks, and named to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. Off the court his style embodied cool confidence and individuality, qualities that translated to his PUMA shoe. Intended for on-court performance, the shoe has become part of the uniform for street artists, from DJs to b-boys to graffiti writers. UK retailer Footasylum celebrates the iconic sneaker with an exclusive collection made up of four individual colorways, each featuring a cotton canvas upper with leather formstripe. Look for the shoes to drop at Footasylum stores over Easter weekend.

adidas Originals x Beijing Fixed Gear – Spring 2012 Campaign | Video Posted: 05 Apr 2012 07:30 PM PDT A new video from adidas Originals‘ Spring 2012 campaign offers proof of the global reach of the fixed gear subculture. Courtesy of creative agency NeochaEDGE and directed by Jess Jing Zou and Charles Lacnceplaine, the clip follows around the Beijing Fixed Gear Group — decked out in colorful gear adorned with the familiar three-stripes — as they hang out and ride through the streets of Beijing. You won’t understand a bit of the voice-over but it’s worth a look for the sick visuals, and it’s always a good feeling to acknowledge that disparate nations can be united through sport. Kate Upton Takes Zoo York – Kate’s Cut Posted: 05 Apr 2012 07:00 PM PDT Zoo York presents an alternate version of its “Kate Upton Takes Zoo York” commercial (which the skate brand has seemingly pulled from YouTube, though copies are still floating around out there). Bearing a “Kate’s Cut” subheading, the clip once again shows the Zoo York cockroaches unknowingly engaging in two separate conversations, one commenting on a nearby skate rail, the other waxing rhapsodic about the lovely Ms. Upton. The addled discourse is interrupted by the jealous Roachetta, and events quickly take a turn for the worse. Conceived and directed with help from Kate herself, the clip is the first of three alternate versions, with the next two dropping soon. Check out the video following the click

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 06:30 PM PDT Originally born into the world in 1984 as a basketball shoe, the adidas Originals Forum Lo RS has carved a niche for itself in the lifestyle sneaker marketplace. The shoe returns this season in tonal colorways with a sporty gum rubber sole. A tonal leather overlay, plus Velcro forefoot strap and contrast stitch-down detail at the midsole, round out the details. The adidas Originals Form Lo RS comes in simple white or black colorways, and is scheduled to land at select adidas Originals retailers — including Dr Jays and Expressions — on April 7th. Release Date: April 7th, 2012 (Saturday)

Vans iPhone 4G Rubber Waffle Case – Back in Stock Posted: 05 Apr 2012 06:00 PM PDT Back in December we told you about the waffle sole case for the iPhone 4, which at the time was sold out at most Vans brick and mortar stores, as well as online. There was a bit of hue and cry from the masses, with shoppers looking to nab the novel iPhone accessory as a stocking stuffer or for their own personal use. The case itself is a fantastic interpretation of a typical Vans sneaker, featuring all the major signifiers: the gum rubber waffle outsole, white rubber foxing with foxing stripe, and red “Off the Wall” heel badge. And for those of you still on the search for one … it’s available now through the Vans online store. Happy shopping, people!
