Creative Recreation – Summer 2012 Collection Lookbook | Video Posted: 07 May 2012 11:00 PM PDT “We’ve come full circle,” stated Robert Nand, the co-founder of Creative Recreation, as preparations went underway for the footwear label’s latest lookbook photo-shoot. It was 10 years ago, Nand explained, that Creative Rec shot the first seasonal campaign along the very same steps and shores. So for nostalgic purpose, the new campaign featured the timeless staple, the Cesario, in breathable mesh. For juxtaposition, Creative Recreation also added the Lacava, a relatively new silhouette, with durable ballistic nylon upper. The lookbook and subsequent video also included other popular editions and make, though it simply wasn’t enough to cover the entire span of the collection. A remarkable feat considering 10 years wasn’t too long ago… The first part of Creative Recreation’s Summer 2012 Collection will be in store soon, with the second part to come during the latter part of the season.

Fred Perry Laurel Wreath – Blank Canvas Cycling Collection Lookbook | By end clothing Posted: 07 May 2012 10:00 PM PDT Fred Perry bridges the gap between English mod subculture and the sport of cycling with its Blank Canvas Spring/Summer 2012 Cycling capsule collection. Released under the label’s premium Laurel Wreath imprint, the goods take the form of jerseys (constructed from 100% cotton pique instead of modern synthetics, contributing to an appealing throwback sensibility) and shorts, plus shiny nylon windbreaker and perforated sneakers in white or black colorways. Hallmarks of the collection are utilitarian details, like ergonomically placed pockets for water botter bottles and the like, and classic colors evocative of Fred Perry’s 1960s heritage, the era in which proponents of the mod movement co-opted cycling jerseys as part of their uniform. The collection is expected to land at end clothing in June. See more from the store’s dedicated lookbook below.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Non-Entourage” – Kasina Launch | Event Recap Posted: 07 May 2012 08:30 PM PDT A prelude to what’s to come later this month. Once the confirmation was set, Nike SB started its systematic launch of the much talked about Nike SB Dunk Low "Non-Entourage" (aka “Nontourage” or “Untourage”). As with before, retailers in Asia received the very first batch of the rarities. Among the few was Kasina of South Korea, which conducted a raffle to ensure fairness in the lineup sequence. With just so very few available, Kasina sold out its inventory in no time, a scenario likely to repeat over here as well. via IST

Nike Soccer – Arsenal F.C. 2012/2013 Home Kit Posted: 07 May 2012 07:30 PM PDT Honoring its 125 years of history and the countless more to come, Nike Soccer, along with forward Theo Walcott, forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and defender Kieran Gibbs, unveil the Arsenal‘s newest Home Kit for the 2012-2013 season. Predominately red and white, colors long held by the Gunners, Nike added a third, obsidian blue, in its updated design. Partly to complement the tricolor of Great Britain’s Union Jack, the addition of blue was to commemorate legendary team manager Herbert Chapman, who laid the foundation of common practices on a modern soccer game. Credited with usage of white soccer of visibility, hoops on socks and numbered jersey for identification, Chapman’s pragmatic tactics helped the Arsenal to three league titles and a FA Cup win between 1925 and 1934. Hidden designs such as graphic in reference to Chapman’s “WM” formation and Arsenal’s motto "Victoria, Concordia, Crescit" ("Victory Through Harmony"), all instills a sense of unity among players and fans. While the team’s history played a part in its redesign, the new home kit bears completely new methodology including a Double Knit construction, one where the jersey is 50% more breathable, 21% stronger, and 210% more flexible, yet weighing in at only 145 grams. To lessen its impact on the environment, Nike utilized 100% recycled polyester in each shorts, and 96% recycled polyester in each jersey, an equivalent of 13 recycled plastic bottles. An integrated part of the Nike Pro Combat system, the kit protects its wearer from injuries yet in relative comfort. The new Arsenal F.C. Home Kit for 2012-2013 season is now available for pre-order at www.arsenaldirect.com and soon at other retail locations.
