Named after one of the store’s cofounders, the Yuki sunglasses have round-shaped frames in a trio of colorways — black, anthracite and caramel tortoiseshell — fitted with tonal smoky lenses (except for the anthracite pair, which have mirrored lenses “perfect for serious girl-watchers”). Branding takes the form of the store logo printed on the inside of one arm, while the other features the Zen phrase “Thank you for being.” Pick up the Yuki shades now from Chari & Co., available both in-store and online. Leica M9-P “Edition Hermès” – Premium Special Edition Digital Camera Posted: 10 May 2012 11:30 PM PDT Following a string of limited edition collaborations, Leica is back with a third in a line of special M-System cameras built with the help of renowned Parisian fashion house, Hermès. The partnership results in two special editions, with a total of 300 Edition Hermès digital rangefinders set to ship beginning in June for $25,000, while 100 “very special” Edition Hermès – Sèrire Limitèe Jean-Louis Dumas models will release in July for – well – $50,000. Both editions will be offered as complete kits, with the “cheaper” of the two built with soft calfskin leather with a silver chrome finish for its redesigned control points, complete with a Leica Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH. optic. The “other” arrives with three lenses, the Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/2 ASPH., a Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH. and a Leica APO-Summicron-M 90 mm f/2 ASPH — all with an anodized silver finish. Helping you feel a bit better about your purchase, both come with a matching bag and book, honoring the former president of Hermès, Dumas, and a matching calfskin shoulder strap. To claim your piece of this limited edition collaboration, make your way (or have your butler’s butler go) directly to one of Leica’s worldwide locations.

adidas Originals Consortium – “Your Story” Collection | First Drop Posted: 10 May 2012 11:00 PM PDT Ceded from the original premise where a select group of retailers had their inputs materialized into adidas Originals footwear (hence the name “consortium”). The reinvigorated adidas Consortium project made decidedly different approach and engaged with the end users rather than the storefronts which sold them. The outcome was five individuals – Kate Moross, Jim Thompson, Aloe Blacc, DJ MURO, and Qoute, with various interests, goals, backgrounds, and etc… Thus, the upcoming adidas Originals Consortium – “Your Story” Collection is of celebrating individuality and diversity, much like the ethos of London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. In telling their stories, adidas Originals turned back time and wiped clean each involved models. Essentially clean slate, much like last season adidas Originals Consortium “Tabula Rasa” Collection, each of the five designs comes to life through a “before” and “after” sequence on equally impressive complementary backdrops. For those who wants to view the design in person, the first five will be available starting Saturday, May 19th. Release Date: May 19th, 2012 (Saturday)

Leica X2 – Compact Digital Camera Posted: 10 May 2012 10:00 PM PDT In addition to the M-Monochrom, Leica has announced the debut of the X2, an APS-C compact camera with a fixed 24mm Leica Elmarit f/2.8 ASPH lens. An updated version of the X1, the camera’s biggest improvements take the form of a 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor — a size typically found in DSLR shooters — and the addition of an accessory socket for a 1.44MP “Viso-Flex” electronic viewfinder. Other benefits include an improved 11-point autofocus system, ISO range up to 12,500 and continuous shooting up to 5fps. Around the back is a 2.7-inch display with 230,000-pixel resolution. On the design front, the X2 features Leica’s signature classic lines, with metal construction finished with leather trim. Featuring a list price of $1,995, the Leica X2 is available for pre-order now at authorized dealers.

Nike Lunar Woven Flow – Golden Sash/Midnight Navy-Summit White Posted: 10 May 2012 08:46 PM PDT It looks to be some more Lunar Woven Flow will be arriving in store later this year. And it isn’t all that surprising either considering the influx of Woven designs from Nike in the last few months, from other Lunar Woven Flow to the most recent Air Woven series commemorating the upcoming Euro Cup. In tonal design much like the already available Lunar Woven Flow in Black/Black-Light Bone, the yet to be launch model features a brilliant canary yellow, or in Nike designers’ term, golden sash. A sockliner in midnight navy to tone the color down a bit while the usual white Lunarlon sole serves as contrast. No words on release dates thus far though some Asian retailers have already gotten some pairs in their inventories. One nagging question remains, might this be a possible future addition to the LIVESTRONG Collection? via: Kasina

Nicholas Hendrickx – “The Adventures of Mr. Fly” Posted: 10 May 2012 07:30 PM PDT It would appear Mr. Fly is not as enterprising as Wes Anderson’s fantastic Mr. Fox. The way Belgian photographer Nicholas Hendrickx tells it, he was outside in his garden taking clichéd images of flowers, having just purchased his first cheap macro filters online and eager to give them a try. It was there that he encountered Gerald Fly, a down-on-his-luck insect holding a “Will work 4 food” sign. So Nicholas did just that, putting him to work as a model. The fictional narrative is entertaining, sure, but the pictures are fascinating on their own. The painstaking process involved in placing a fly atop a miniature bicycle, or putting a guitar in his hands, makes the following images that much more impressive. Nice work, Mr. Hendrickx. via: FStoppers

Staple Design x Starter – Snapback Cap Collection – Summer 2012 | Teaser Posted: 10 May 2012 07:00 PM PDT On the heel of ALIFE and Supra, New York City’s Staple Design will be introducing its own collection of snapback caps with Starter. But before the actual launch, Jeff Staple and company enticed us with one of the design that is to come. In typical fashion, the design features a black felt brim, woodland camouflage panel, and the black and white Taoist Yin Yang emblem. All quite predictable till a closer look reveals the Yin Yang symbol to be two pigeons, one white the other black. Set to be available soon, in the meantime, do you see birds yet?
