| USCSS Prometheus – Scientific Exploratory Vessel | Detailed Look Posted: 23 May 2012 11:00 PM PDT Meet the USCSS Prometheus, the exploratory vehicle that moviegoers will get to know on a more intimate level when the eponymously titled film opens in theaters in about two weeks. The following spec sheets and illustrations (some taken from a promotional Verizon mini-game) provide us with a uniquely detailed look at the craft, one that’s powered by a vectoring hybrid drive with VTOL engines capable of interstellar and atmospheric operation. It carries five medium-duty exploration rovers (presumably along the lines of this one), two heavy mineral extractors and four quad-track runabouts. It should be noted that Weyland Industries equipped the craft with zero armaments. Check out the diagrams below — as well as a press release from Weyland — and look for Prometheus to hit theaters June 8th.

| Adidas Originals Samoa – Americana Pack Posted: 23 May 2012 10:00 PM PDT With just a little over two months until the London 2012 Olympic Games get underway, adidas Originals has released the Americana Pack in honor of Team USA. The assembled sneaker styles comprise the AR 2.0 and Superstar, as well as two colorways of the Samoa – one in navy with red accents, the other in red with white accents. Both pairs carry a synthetic leather upper featuring a white EVA midsole and unique trefoil tread outsole. A white heel tab adorned with a stars-and-stripes trefoil logo finishes the look. Look for the Samoas — along with the rest of the Americana pack — to land soon at adidas Originals retailers.

Handmade in Italy exclusively for oki-ni, the frames are constructed from 8mm cellulose acetate in a brown/transparent finish and come equipped with strong hinges for durability and a comfortable fit. Barberini anti-reflective lenses, meanwhile, offer 100% UV and infra-red protection. L.G.R. and oki-ni branding, inscribed in gold on the interior of the arms, rounds out the details. In dark navy, bright red, or muted grey as a point of contrast, each of the adidas Originals AR 2.0 features subtle reference to the Stars and Stripes. | 100 Most Powerful Cars of All Time – 2012 Edition Posted: 23 May 2012 06:30 PM PDT Edmunds, in compiling its list of the top 100 Most Powerful Cars of All Time, asserts that today “is the golden age of automotive power.” Unsurprisingly, the majority of cars listed below are less than ten years old, with the weakest of the lot made with 544 horsepower. The vehicles were scored strictly by their horsepower rating according to the manufacturer (ties were broken using peak torque ratings), leaving out tuner machines and kit cars. | TUMI Case Studies – Eric Yang: Co-Founder of GEAR PATROL | Video Posted: 23 May 2012 05:00 PM PDT The latest installment of Tumi‘s “Case Studies” series revolves around Eric Yang, co-founder of Gear Patrol. Eric begins packing as soon as he finds out he's going to be traveling, a process that begins by starting a list. He jots down the weather conditions of his destination, then lists individual items he’ll need, beginning with shirts, shoes, jackets, etc. He stows his gear in the Tumi Vapor, a hardside case he refers to as a “blank slate,” which he personalizes with his belongings.
