At a first glance, the time on the VOID WATCHES V02 timepiece does not look decipherable. However, it only takes few minutes to understand this speedometer inspired watch. The color on the hands corresponds to either minutes or hours, offering a completely new way to tell time. Although this model is not new, the Swedish brand upgraded the V02 by switching the leather bands with matching stainless steel bands. The result is a sharper, industrial feel that contrasts the organic aesthetic of the original V02. Karimoku x MEDICOM TOY Glow in the dark BE@RBRICK 400% This is not the first time MEDICOM TOY has collaborated with Japanese wooden furniture manufacturer Karimoku, though they have tried a completely new technique on their latest BE@RBRICK. Each of these figures are made by hand in Japan by experienced craftsmen, and the 400% BE@RBRICK is constructed from natural wood materials. One point of difference with this piece, compared to previous releases, is the special glow-in-the-dark clear coating on the exterior. A slight green tint is visible in the light, but when placed in the dark, it illuminates in the usual green tone. This figure will also be launching on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the MEDICOM TOY Exhibition 2012, and project 1/6 is taking pre-order now on their online shop.

More looks at the much-anticipated, but little seen Renault Alpine A110-50 Concept we previewed earlier have leaked onto the web ahead of its official release on Friday, May 25. Cut and shaped to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its first generation model, the Concept features aggressive styling, a carbon fiber body, a powerful diffuser, and a massive rear spoiler much like the Renault DeZir sportscar. Additional noticeable changes include circular intakes in the bonnet and bumper and a slim new headlight and grille design. Rumors suggest the Alpine packs a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 capable of producing 394hp held within a tubular chassis borrowed from the company’s Megane Trophy. Somebody alert the Biebs — you can now finish your car in real diamonds, thanks to longtime Porsche tuner Gemballa. The German-based company is offering the world’s first diamond coating for both the interior and exterior finish of vehicles, without any additives like metal pigments, glass fragments or crystal. The goal of applying the coating like paint was achieved by grinding the actual diamonds down to a small enough size, resulting in an “incomparable shine,” thanks to the greater refractive surface area.
