New Balance Spring/Summer 2013 “Yacht Club” Collection | Preview Posted: 02 Jun 2012 12:00 AM PDT New Balance is set to revisit the nautical theme that served the brand so resoundingly well in early 2011, though this future release will see the ever reliable 574 silhouette receiving the benefit of a marine makeover. Three styles of the 574 will make up the “Yacht Club” collection, each featuring a combination of suede and nylon mesh in the build, complemented with a mix of seaworthy bright colors. Unique details include speckled laces, contrast-painted eyelets and pinstriped lining. Look for the New Balance 574 “Yacht Club” collection to drop in early 2013. via: Freshngood

Levi’s Trucker Denim Jackets by André Saraiva & Shepard Fairey Posted: 01 Jun 2012 11:00 PM PDT There’s a bit of symmetry between last month’s collaborative project for Levi’s Champs Elysees Flagship with this month’s edition. The key item once again revolves around the Levi’s Trucker Jacket silhouette, which last time around underwent a reworking courtesy of a French and American DJ/producer/record label founder — namely, Pedro “Busy P” Winter and James Murphy. This latest joint effort finds Levi’s calling on a French-based graffiti artist (Andre Saraiva) along with an American one (Shepard Fairey). The two have designed their own Trucker Jacket styles — one for women and one for men — which are slated to drop June 14th at the Levi’s Champs Elysees Flagship. Both artists are scheduled to appear at the store that night for a special launch event. via: WWD Levi's Champs Elysées Release Date: June 14th, 2012 (Thursday)

Kilian Martin: Altered Route | Video Posted: 01 Jun 2012 10:00 PM PDT Kilian Martin‘s “Altered Route” isn’t your typical skateboarding vid. An Oceanside, California, resident by way of Madrid, Martin infuses his skating style with his background as a gymnast to create something entirely new. His fluid, almost dance-like technique has earned both criticism and praise, the latter coming from skate veterans like Stacy Peralta, George Powell and Mike Vallely. Martin’s moves are on spectacular display in the “Altered Route” short film, set in the Mojave Desert and shot and directed by filmmaker Brett Novak for mb! by Mercedes-Benz. The atmospheric soundtrack comes courtesy of Patrick Watson. Check out the video below.

Posted: 01 Jun 2012 07:16 PM PDT “Judicious” is a good way to describe accessories maker booq‘s marketing ethos. You will not find its products on the back cover of glossy fashion magazine or clever placement with the newest trendsetters. You will find them, however, are on the backs of code warriors strolling down New York City’s Silicon Alley of or a meeting among tech entrepreneurs in Palo Alto, where booq’s (pronounced as “Book”) products perform double duties quite well – a sturdy carry-all of a tech junkies daily needs and a stylish statement maker. The best example of this is the booq Cobra Brief. Its all business right from the start, a 1680 denier ballistic nylon construction with weatherproof YKK zippers, with the exception of a rubberized bottom and silicon padded shoulder straps, there are no unnecessary appendages to its streamlined appearance. The same goes for the interior as well, with a quilted compartment for laptop and separate one for your other daily need. Placements are all thought out by designers with ease of access to everything. Stripes of Nappa leather tipped each open pockets to reduce wear and tear while the beige nylon twill lining assists in locating items faster. And during the unfortunate situation of losing one’s bag, booq’s Terralinq serial number within each of its product will help you to link up with a finder if the bag has been located. The booq Cobra Brief is now available through the booq online store and selected tech product specialty retailers around the world.

adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott – JS Hiking Boot – Fall/Winter 2012 | Detailed Look Posted: 01 Jun 2012 06:00 PM PDT With fashion shows during the important New York Fashion Week, designer Jeremy Scott knows all too well the mundane practice of winter in New York City, when everyone “dressed down” into all-black wardrobe as preventative measure against the dreaded muddy street side slush. In order to “glam up” that monochromatic tendency, Scott decided to add an exclusive footwear to his adidas Originals line this Fall/Winter – the JS Hiking Boot. In true Scott’s audacious style, the boot full captures his “punk-meets-alligator-space-invader” concept with Italian patent leather in bright lime green colorway. Features alligator pattern “deboss” all-over, the boot includes the functional aspect such as d-ring lacing and leather lining as well. Ready to hit stores worldwide in October 2012. Release Date: October 2012
