FTC in the streets of Barcelona | Video Posted: 06 Jun 2012 06:00 AM PDT We previewed the short video of the FTC team in Spain last month, and we are treated with yet another short video from Barcelona as well. As usual, Ando Nesia is responsible for the filming and editing of this video, and the mellow attitude of the team is reflected on their laid back skateboarding style. Unlike the previous clip, the team gets technical on ledges, giving each skater an opportunity to show off their grinding and sliding skills with flip variations thrown in for good measure. Zero Magazine + XLarge Presents: “Ressurection TKO 150 Deck” Exhibition | Tokyo Posted: 06 Jun 2012 05:00 AM PDT Ressurection exhibition was first held in Osaka, where graffiti artists were invited to perform their magic on skateboard decks. The exhibition was such a success that Zero Magazine and XLarge have decided to bring it to Tokyo as well. However, for this exhibition, the quantity of artists and boards has increased significantly to 150 decks altogether. The event will take place at Studio Bee in Daikanyama, followed by XLarge Harajuku store. Be sure to drop by the exhibition next time you are in the neighborhood. Loewe + The Sartorialist | Video Posted: 06 Jun 2012 04:00 AM PDT The Sartorialist founder and photographer Scott Schuman is definitely a catalyst for the modern day street snap movement that has gotten so popular over the internet and in print media. Though one thing is clear, Schuman has a very keen eye to catch his ideal sartorialist in every city he travels to, resulting in a culmination of beautifully photographed people in their everyday setting. Loewe and Schuman are working together on putting an exhibition of his works, a rare opportunity to see all of his favorite photos under one roof. This teaser video also gives an insight into the motivation of the blog and his methodology on how to capture his subject. It succeeds graciously by swapping the factory wheels for their custom designed 10-spoke 21-inch wheels. The gunmetal color of the wheels match the carbon fiber 458-V body kit, consisting of front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffusers, giving this sports car a much more aggressive stance. The Hill-Side & Co. x Owner Operator Pack Anorak – “Leaf Camo” | Video Posted: 05 Jun 2012 11:00 PM PDT Following up on our look at The Hill-Side Co. x Rancourt & Co. chukka moccasins, we now shine a light on an outerwear piece from this series of collaborations between The Hill-Side and a variety of partner brands, all using fabrics from The Hill-Side’s current and past seasons. This pack anorak, a joint venture with Owner Operator, is finished in a distinctive leaf camo satin-weave twill constructed from 8oz Japanese cotton. Details include a three-way adjustable hood with brim, bottom hem cinch, adjustable Velcro wrist closures and custom Owner Operator “raccoon” snaps. Chukka Moccasin – Navy Suede/Indigo “Sashiko” Fabric | Pre-Order Posted: 05 Jun 2012 09:30 PM PDT Accessories brand The Hill-Side, created and owned by brothers Emil and Sandy Corsillo, has launched a series of collaborations under the banner The Hill-Side & Co., which features apparel, accessories and footwear that uses fabric from the Hill-Side’s current and past seasons. A prime example is this collaboration with Maine-based Rancourt & Co. on a pair of chukka moccasins. The ankle boots feature an upper constructed from navy suede and indigo “Sashiko” fabric, a double-faced plain weave cloth with supplementary Sashiko stitch warp that stimulates traditional Japanese hand-stitched textiles. Additional details include crepe wedge sole, rawhide laces and a woven “The Hill-Side” label sewn into the interior of the ankle. mita sneakers x Onitsuka Tiger Fable BL-L “Panda” | Preview Posted: 05 Jun 2012 08:59 PM PDT In addition to a line of recent more traditional collaborations, the Onitsuka Tiger Fable is making the rounds in a panda-inspired design that is far from its basketball roots, thanks to the efforts of the team at mita sneakers. Previewed at Asics‘ Shibuya office, this high-top is dressed in a panda-appropriate black and white colorway using soft synthetic fur and suede paneling across its upper. Black laces, a white liner, and color-matching branding finish off the look of this truly rare member of the sneaker world. You can expect to see this sneaker released in September as part of their Fall/Winter 2012 releases. PUMA Madison Classic Posted: 05 Jun 2012 07:30 PM PDT The most obvious connection between PUMA and the New York Knicks is, of course, the Clyde, named after Walt “Clyde” Frazier, who led the Knicks to two NBA championships in the early 1970s. A lesser known link is the PUMA Madison Classic, which gets its name from Madison Square Garden, veritable roundball shrine and home court for the Knickerbockers. The shoe has released in a trio of basic colorways, each built with a tonal leather upper featuring Velcro strap closure in lieu of traditional lacing, plus perforated form stripes along the side panels. Gilt PUMA branding at the tongue and heel finishes the details. The kicks are available now at Tokyo’s VA.
