Acapulco Gold x Lafayette 9th Anniversary T Shirt Yokohama based streetwear store Lafayette is known to throw huge parties for their anniversary events. This year is no exception, as DJ Fatfingaz flew in from New York to rock their 9th anniversary party. Another tradition of the Japanese brand is to produce collaboration t-shirt, and they have worked with Acapulco Gold this year. The Big Lafayette t-shirt graphic pays homage to Big L, a legendary Harlem rapper, by sampling the album cover art from his last album, The Big Picture. Two versions are available in black and white bodies at the Lafayette stores in Japan or through their online shop.

MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK Aroma Diffuser 400% Leading up to the MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION 2012, another interesting product is ready to launch at the event. We recently previewed the MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK Speaker System, and it looks like they have dabbled in interior accessories once again by producing this BE@RBRICK Aroma Diffuser. The figure measures at 280mm or 400%, and there is a mechanical fan inside its head, which blows the nice aroma of essential oils. This diffuser works on two AA batteries, and after 30 minutes of continuous use, this device is programmed to turn itself off automatically. mastermind JAPAN x Herman Miller x Isetan Eames Shell Side Chair DSR Even though mastermind JAPAN will end its label early next year, unbelievable amounts of high caliber collaboration projects are surfacing as we speak. The latest project to surface is the Eames Shell Side Chair DSR created in conjunction with Herman Miller for the first anniversary of JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan store in Osaka, Japan. The all black exterior reflects the brand color of mastermind JAPAN, and its famous skull logo is molded in the back of the chair. Its stainless steel legs are also coordinated in the all black tone, giving it a low-key aesthetic compared to the fun furniture promoted by Eames. Limited numbers of this chair will be sold exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku and JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan stores.

HAROSHI Studio Visit By Nathan Perkel With a mutual love for skateboarding, California born photographer, Nathan Perkel, took a trip to the Far East to capture the studio of famed Japanese sculptor and artist HAROSHI. There is no doubt that HAROSHI is coming up the ranks in the art scene as an up-and-coming artist from Japan, and some may remember the feet sculpture with transparent skate shoes he created for the Jonathan LeVine Gallery at Art Basel 2012. It is a rare sight to see the studios of artists, and we are treated by the high quality images taken by Perkel. As one would expect, the studio is packed with used skateboards, off cut scraps, and lots of dust from all the woodwork. Scroll down and take a visual journey through the studio below.

Expressly created for Beckham’s personal lifestyle by designer and friend James Bond of UNDTFD, the collection reflects the spectrum of Beckham’s roles as husband, father, fashion icon, spokesperson, soccer star, and more. VANS OTW Breton Lo & Hi Fall 2012

Vans OTW unveils the Breton, its most rugged silhouette yet. Featuring weather-proof construction on the upper resting atop a durable Vibram sole unit, the shoe has materials and an overall shape that hews more closely to menswear than sportswear. Details include rope laces, leather OTW tongue tag and a combination leather and textile footbed. For Fall 2012 the Breton is offered in both Hi and Lo variations, featuring a (Tweed) Bungee colorway for the latter, and (Wax Canvas) Brown and (Ballistic) Black colorways for the Breton Hi. Look for them to land at Vans OTW retailers starting in July.

Straight out of the water and onto your feet, Beijing designer Zhijun Wang puts together a creative sneaker to commemorate the yearly Dragon Boat Festival celebrated throughout eastern Asia. Choosing the New Balance HS77 silhouette, Zhijun fills the bottom half of the shoe with a beautiful light blue color, representing the scales along the hull of the boat ending with depictions of wind and waves on the heel leading up to its padded collar. White leather wraps around the bridge of the foot carrying across the laces complemented by red accents along the midsole, tongue tab, and wrapping around the “N” logo. No details on when or if these will hit retailers, but we’ve got some detailed looks at Zhijun’s amazing skill after the jump.
