Nike #GAMEONWORLD Los Angeles | Event Recap Posted: 26 Jun 2012 09:30 PM PDT This past weekend, Nike held an event in Los Angelles to officially debut their newest line-up of shoes, the Lunar Hyperdunk+, the LunarGlide+4, the Lunar TR1, and the Lunar Hyper Workout+ and to celebrate the launch of Nike+ Training and Nike+ Basketball. Set on a glowing neon blue rooftop with the campaign’s hash tag, #GAMEONWORLD, prominently displayed, the event was hosted by Kenny Smith with OHWOW Gallery‘s Aaron “A-Ron” Bondaroff, Nike Exec Fraser Cooke, UNDFTD‘s Eddie Cruz, and Micael Duprey from La MJC / SOLD OUT all in attendence. Film director and Nike+ FuelBand poster boy, Casey Neistat (you may remember his epic commercial for Nike), and Jus Fly, who completed an outrageous dunk with a 42.5″ vertical, were also in attendance to help inspire others to track their sports vitals using the Lunarlon Collection. All told, it was a fitting way to introduce the world to what they have in store when the Nike+ technology drops this Friday, June 29th.

Louis Vuitton – Tambour Automatic Chronograph Flyback Watch Posted: 26 Jun 2012 08:00 PM PDT The watches from Louis Vuitton‘s exclusive Tambour line are built in extremely limited quantities with high-grade Swiss ETA movements. The latest model is the Flyback Automatic Chronograph, inspired by military pilot watches from the 1960s and featuring a striking design: a 44mm stainless steel case houses a black dial with two auxiliary counters and a bright yellow center hand. The look is reminiscent of circular scale radars found in airplane cockpits. Meanwhile, the “flyback” functionality allows for a quick reset of the second chronograph with the push of a single button. Powered by the LV 137 Swiss movement, the timepiece is finished with a rubber-molded crown and alligator strap with calfskin segment. via: perpetuelle

Shepard Fairey – New Mural in Paris | Video Posted: 26 Jun 2012 06:00 PM PDT Shepard Fairey and his Obey team recently went to work on a 14-story building in Paris, hopping on a moveable to platform to create a mural that borrows imagery from the Obey piece “Rise Above Rebel.” The ambitious undertaking was part of a community art project called “Street Art 13,” organized under the auspices of Galerie Itinerrance, Butterfly and Mairie of 13th, that uses building sides as canvases in an effort to revitalize the neighborhood through art. Check out images of the work in progress in the gallery below, along with a time-lapse video by Mahmoud Belakhel. via: BUTTERFLYART

Lexus LFA – Final Edition | Preview Posted: 26 Jun 2012 05:00 PM PDT Lexus launched its first ever supercar, the LFA, in 2009, with the proviso that only 500 would be produced. Even with production estimated to run out in December, these spy shots from Nurburgring reveal what some have suggested is a “Final Edition” makeup of the vehicle. Finished in a cool blue paint job, the prototype is reminiscent of last year’s Nurburgring Edition, but with a number of modest alterations: an additional air intake on the hood, small bootlid spoiler a new rear lower diffuser featuring two dual-exhaust ports below each taillamp. An unpainted hood and roof shows off the vehicle’s carbon fiber weave. Stay tuned for more updates on this new LFA. via: Autoblog

ENEMY TO FASHION x Ebbets Field – Vintage Camo Snapback Cap Posted: 26 Jun 2012 04:00 PM PDT When the crew at North Carolina-based Enemy to Fashion stumbled upon a few yards of deadstock wool camo fabric from the 1950s, they turned the material over to the skilled artisans at Ebbets Field to create a limited edition vintage snapback cap. In keeping with the heritage aesthetic, the hats were modeled after an early 1900s silhouette and feature a unique shortened brim with green satin lining underneath. Black satin soutache trim between each panel and a stitched front logo complete the details. The vintage snapback is available now through Enemy to Fashion’s online store.

Nike Footscape Woven Chukka Black – Rainbow Pack Posted: 26 Jun 2012 03:30 PM PDT Earlier we gave you a sneak peak at an upcoming Nike Footscape Woven Chukka in a white colorway, and now we offer a look at its black-hued counterpart from the aptly named Rainbow Pack. Like its complement pair, the kicks feature an eyecatching woven panel constructed from a patchwork of bright colors that snakes around the entire length of the shoe. The rest of the design is decidedly low-key, composed of a black suede upper, white textured midsole and black rubber outsole. Embroidered branding at the heel rounds out the details. Nike Footscape Woven Chukka White – Rainbow Pack Posted: 26 Jun 2012 03:00 PM PDT When we last previewed a Nike Footscape Woven Chukka, its colorway seemed to take a back-seat to its overall design, which focuses on delivering all-day comfort to its wearer. This year’s version, however, takes its cues from its more colorful woven brethren, the Lunar Flow, with its rainbow-colored nylon detail wrapping all the way around its White upper, producing a Chukka like none other we have seen before. Fitted with the running-tuned Free sole and a matching set of laces and pull-tab off the tongue, the look is finished with simple Nike branding on the heel. Stay tuned for further details on when this Footscape Woven from the Rainbow Pack is expected to hit Nike Sportswear retailers. Images via: MarqueeSole

Nigel Sylvester – Get Sylvester 6: BMX in Dominican Republic | Video Posted: 26 Jun 2012 02:30 PM PDT The most recent episode of Nigel Sylvester‘s “Get Sylvester” video series finds the pro BMX rider in the Dominican Republic. As Sylvester puts it, it’s an opportunity to ride new spots and meet new people. Those spots include scenic oceanfront vistas to gritty urban landscapes, where the everyday hustle is simply necessary for survival — something that Sylvester finds profoundly motivating. The ten-minute short film, directed by Harrison Boyce and featuring a soundtrack by Meek Mill, has plenty of BMX riding footage for fans to enjoy as well. Check it out below.

Naked and Famous Denim – Weird Guy Double-Sided Camo Posted: 26 Jun 2012 01:30 PM PDT Naked & Famous Denim has built a name for itself by producing some of the best and most expensive denim jeans in the world – focusing on using only old-school design techniques without any of the excessive, over-the-top embellishments that would distract away from their fit. Standing in stark contrast to this stance – at least in style, but not in fit – Naked & Famous Denim’s Weird Guy Double-Sided Camo jeans are full of color thanks to a woodland print . Seen all over the outside of the cotton demin in one shade, the Canadian brand chose a different base color for the inside, which provides a nice contrast when the leg is rolled or cuffed. The Weird Guy fit is a modern, low rise cut with a tapered leg and button fly. Those looking to cop a pair can look out for them at your closest Naked & Famous retailer, including TATE + YOKO now.
