| Apple iPhone 5 – Concept Rendering | By CiccareseDesign Posted: 04 Jul 2012 10:32 PM PDT Similar to the cottage industry of the old, there’s been a steady growth of designers conceptualize technical gadgetry from the near future. This is especially true since Apple introduced its iPhone to the masses five years ago. While most are just run-of-the-mill renderings or gags by pranksters, a few, like Federico Ciccarese of Ciccarese Design, executed their concepts as works of art. Retained by MacRumors, a top gossip blog pertaining to all that is Apple, Ciccarese Design drew up a rendering based on all purported details about the upcoming iPhone 5 – the 19-Pin connector, the larger 4.08″ 16:9 display, even the new Apple Maps within iOS 6. To add a hint of realism, it even added a side-by-side comparison with the current iPhone 4S. In the meantime, according to the latest rumor, Apple might push up the launch of iPhone 5 to August/September in order to minimize the impact of Samsung’s new Galaxy S III on the market.

| Jordan Brand – July 2012 – Sneakers Releases Posted: 04 Jul 2012 08:00 PM PDT A Happy Fourth of July to our readers in the U.S. And even while it is nearing the end of July’s fourth day, for Jordan fans, the month doesn’t really start till tomorrow when Jordan Brand unleashes its first of many major releases, the brand new Air Jordan 2012 Lite. As the designation indicated, the completely reworked Air Jordan 2012 is lighter thanks to a new upper. Rather than a composite of leather and fabric, the AJ 2012 Lite employed a translucent laminate upper embedded with Flywire for strength. In addition to the four original colors to be available tomorrow, the will be one with Olympic-theme color of red, white, and blue later on this month. A pair of Air Jordan 1 Phat and Air Jordan 6 Retro will also help to propagate the Olympic spirit as the game kicks-off at the end of this month. Another global sporting event currently circumventing around the globe would be the 2012 World Basketball Festival and similar to the debut event in New York City two years ago, Jordan Brand is showing its support with City Pack – a twin set of Air Jordan 1 Retro and Jordan Super.Fly for cities with deep basketball roots. And these are just the few highlights from the 42 editions set to launch for this month alone.

A replacement wood panel, made from Curly Figured Cherry material, can be fitted on the back of an ordinary iPhone. | Kitsuné x New Era – Parisien Cap Collection Posted: 04 Jul 2012 07:00 AM PDT Launching from the the Parisian lifestyle brand Kitsuné, the creative duo have teamed up with New Era for a couple of caps. This Parisien design is a classic graphic from Kitsuné Tee, the record label of Kitsuné, and its refined cursive typography reiterates their understated style. A red visor accents the 59FIFTY fitted caps, while the 5 panel cap is detailed with a red under-visor. Both styles boast a navy crown and white font on the front panel. | Alessandro Zuek Simonetti – IL Clan del Wu Book Posted: 04 Jul 2012 06:00 AM PDT New York based Italian photographer Alessandro Zuek Simonetti has set out to capture the essence of the Wu-Tang Clan at their reunion concert back in 2010. The monochromatic images are energetic, yet serene, and one can almost hear the crowd screaming “Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang” at the top of their voice, as they throw up the W in the air, with their bare hands. This mini-book is self-published by Simonetti, and the 96 page zine-like book is packed with 48 high quality images of the legendary group. Only 1000 copies are printed, and it is currently available at The Standard online shop and participating hotel gift shops.
