Posted: 06 Jul 2012 08:59 PM PDT New Balance keeps the ladies in mind with this new release of their classic 80′s running shoe, the 996 sneaker. Labeled as the WH996, New Balance went with a white polka-dot upper that mixes well with a set tight mesh panels on the ankles, tongue, and toe. Even the typically bold “N” logo blends into the look on both the Chocolate Brown and the Black models; the only other accent color comes in either a striking yellow or pink, respectively, which make an appearance on the back of the collar, the branding around the tongue, and on thick cotton laces. Clearly made to turn some heads on the streets and to get people talking, these WH996′s are also ready to fit easily into your wardrobe. You can pick them up now through the atmos online store. atmos Tokyo

Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato – Made Appearances at Goodwood Festival of Speed Posted: 06 Jul 2012 08:02 PM PDT Attendees to this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed had the rare opportunities to see a Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato in action as well as up close. One of only nine ever created in 2011 as tribute to Alfa Romeo’s 100th anniversary and of the iconic Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ Series (aka Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato), the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato mirrored much of the body style and past silhouette by legendary design firm Zagato. Underneath the bonnet however, it secured the Dodge Viper ACR-X‘s massive powerplant largely thanks to its Fiat parent company’s recent purchase of Dodge/Chrysler assets. Thus, it was able to put the 8.4-liter 640 horsepower into good use.

adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott JS Poodle | Preview Posted: 06 Jul 2012 06:30 PM PDT A sneak peak at next year’s adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collection reveals a new creation, seemingly beamed straight from the designer’s fertile imagination. Done up in two shades of pink in corresponding textures — one wild and woolly, the other plush — the shoe features a large poodle’s head at the tongue, fashionably accessorized with a pair of Jeremy Scott x Linda Farrow winged shades. The furry canine upper rests on a chunky tonal pink sole unit, inscribed with adidas branding on one side and the designer’s signature on the other. Posted: 06 Jul 2012 06:00 PM PDT Famed ESPN sports columnist Bill Simmons (aka the Sports Guy) is widely credited with disseminating the “Ewing Theory” sports meme, which describes a situation in which a team performs better once its franchise player leaves the lineup — e.g., the Knicks defeated the Pacers in the ’99 NBA playoffs to reach the championship round against San Antonio after center Patrick Ewing went down with an Achilles injury. Very soon, it won’t be just the Sports Guy who keeps Ewing’s name alive in the 21st century, as Ewing Athletics is primed to make a comeback. The brand’s flagship product, the Ewing 33 Hi Retro, is set to re-launch in four OG colorways, including the requisite “home” and “away” New York Knicks styles. Look for the kicks to drop in August. Release Date: August 2012
