F1 Racing x HUBLOT – Formula 1 King Power Great Britain Chronograph Watch

England briefly took the “Epic Center of Sports” on Sunday when it hosted not only but two major sporting events – the 2012 Wimbledon Championships and the 2012 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone. To honor the English racing heritage and as the home of the Formula 1 organization, HUBLOT, the venue’s official timekeeper, created a limited edition numbered timepiece. Based on its versatile King Power chronograph, the special series took on the characteristics directly from Formula 1′s racing pit. In 18K King Gold, a HUBLOT exclusive alloy formulation of gold, copper, and platinum, the Formula 1 King Power Great Britain Chronograph features a carbon fiber & ceramic bezel which mimics the styling of a high performance brake disc. The racing theme continues onto the “Start” and “Reset” buttons on the side, along with F1 logo transfer on the dial face. A crystal case-back highlights the intricate details going into the watch such as the tungsten carbide oscillating weight and few of the 27 jewels that went into the HUB4100 automatic movement. Waterproof up to 100 meters, with a power reserve of 42 hours, only 250 of these exclusive watches will be for sale at HUBLOT dealers worldwide. In the meantime, Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing-Renault took home the title.

Nike SB Dunk High Pro Camouflage

A direct tie-in to Nike Skateboarding‘s “Camouflage” Collection of apparel and accessories seen back in April of this year, this upcoming Nike Dunk High Pro SB edition features the same Lowland "ERDL" Woodland Camouflage motif. So named for Engineer Research & Development Laboratories, a research branch of the U.S. Army, the Lowland Woodland Camouflage, along with its Highland counterpart, became a crucial DPM to all Special Operation combatants in the Vietnam War. As a matching set to the Nike SB Shuttle Bag, Eugene Backpack, and others within the design theme, the Nike Dunk High Pro SB “Camo” consists of white midsole with contrast black outsole, a black suede upper, oiled canvas overlay in camouflage, and leather Nike Swoosh in black. To complete the aesthetic, each pair comes with interchangeable laces in black and olive drab. Nike Hyperdunk 2012 | Available Now

Meant to elevate player’s performances during the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, the Nike Hyperdunk opened the technical possibilities in how basketball sneakers are designed up to that period of time. Rather than a cumbersome upper for support, thick midsole for stability, and straps for optimal fit, the Nike Hyperdunk went with a somewhat counterintuitive approach. Outfitted with high tensile Flywire upper and lightweight Zoom Air cushion sole, the Nike Hyperdunk was able to actualized the athletes optimal performance potentials without any sacrifices. Now, five generations later, the Nike Hyperdunk undergoes another innovative evolution with brand new Nike Flywire, the most advanced variant yet. True to its original design, the new Flywire acts like a pulley system and channels tense where ever support is in need. A new foam and mesh upper equals more weight reduction and breathability. Meanwhile, a redesigned heel clip provides additional lockdown stability. But the biggest difference is the new Lunarlon midsole instead of the Zoom Air unit, giving the new Hyperdunk an even more responsive performance. To be seen at the new Basketball Arena in London’s Olympic Park, one of the largest temporary structure erected for the games, the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 (aka Nike Lunar Hyperdunk) are also available on NikeStore.com.

Air Jordan 6 Retro – “Olympic”

Posted: 08 Jul 2012 05:00 PM PDT

Air Jordan 6 Retro Olympic

In the midst of all of the “Dream Team” releases ahead of London 2012 Summer Olympic, this was the most prized edition, the Air Jordan 6 Retro – “Olympic”. With its roots traced back in 1991, when Michael Jordan won his first NBA Championship title, his first NBA Finals MVP, along with his second NBA MVP title, the design also had important design implications for Jordan’s namesake footwear line. With its introduction that year, long-time Nike designer Tinker Hatfield added a rubberized tongue, inner sleeve, and a molded plastic heel tab that he derived from the rear wing of Jordan’s Porsche. And while it cannot be categorized as an OG Colorway because of its debut during the Sydney Olympics in 2000, the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Olympic” still is a must-have for the most discerning Jordan fans out there.  Now available at notable Jordan retailers around the world, such as Afew in Dusseldorf, Germany
