| Krochet Kids x VANS Bixie Surf Sider Posted: 16 Jul 2012 11:00 PM PDT Vans presents the popular Bixie women’s shoe in collaboration with Krochet Kids, a charitable grassroots organization that helps to create jobs for impoverished people across the world, creating fair-trade economies through the art of crocheting with hook and yarn. Featuring handmade panels created in Uganda, each pair is tagged with the name of the woman who made them. The limited edition Vans come in striped and floral designs, with profits from the sale of the shoes supporting the efforts of Krochet Kids. The crocheted slip-ons are in stock now at Nordstrom.

| White Mountaineering – Fall/Winter 2012 Footwear Collection Posted: 16 Jul 2012 10:30 PM PDT We previously showcased White Mountaineering‘s Fall/Winter 2012 apparel collection and accompanying lookbook, and now we present a look at the brand’s footwear range. Dominated by an earth-tone color palette in premium materials, the silhouettes include rustic boots — constructed from a combination of leather and corduroy with rugged shark soles, or a suede and corduroy style with thick vibram soles — plus lace-up and slip on sneakers featuring unique patterns across the upper. The lineup is completed with a Saucony collaboration on three colorways of the Jazz Original sneaker. | Posted: 16 Jul 2012 08:00 PM PDT Just in time for the upcoming 2012 London Olympics, Supra unveils a couple of pairs of kicks appropriate for wear during the opening ceremony. The London Pack is made up of the Owen and Cuttler Low, the former carrying a blue mesh base with red microfiber overlays plus a red nylon webbed lacing system. The shoe’s ultra-light weight comes courtesy of a SUPRAFOAM sole unit with blue and red traction pods. Its Cuttler Low counterpart has a premium pigsuede upper finished in a deep red hue, resting atop a white vulcanized midsole accented with a red foxing stripe. Both shoes have gold metal eyelets and a woven tongue tag with Supra branding in gold, twinned with a “London 2012″ tag on the interior side. A shiny gold sockliner finishes the look. The Supra London Pack is available now at Supra retailers and online.

| Nike Creates Bespoke M65 Jackets For Top British Athletes Posted: 16 Jul 2012 07:30 PM PDT Just weeks before the official start of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Nike honored eight of Great Britain’s top Olympic hopefuls with its Sporting Greatness tribute – a bespoke version of the iconic Nike Sportswear M65 Jacket customized with each athletes’ journeys to their Olympic dreams in mind. Packaged in an all-white wooden case emblazoned with laser-etched Union Jack,the all-white Nike M65 Jacket features a Union Jack on the left sleeve and the athletes’ own personal mantras printed along the inside placket. - For Marathon World Record Holder Paula Radcliffe, the message reads "Be the best you can be each day" In scenes repeated again and again, Nike surprised each of the athletes with the jacket and a special presentation. Former Chicago Bulls’ star Scottie Pippen took the opportunity to presents the M65 Jacket to Luol Deng during World Basketball Festival at Brixton. Meanwhile, track and field great Carl Lewis’ presence during the presentation of Perri Shakes-Drayton’s M65 Jacket left her awed, speechless, and all smiles.

| The Dark Knight Rises x LEGO Minifigures – Batman & Bane Posted: 16 Jul 2012 06:00 PM PDT Just a week before this summer’s most anticipated film premiere, LEGO took to San Diego Comic Con and announced its latest Minifigure collection, including ones with direct tie-in to The Dark Knight Rises. Though LEGO already created several Minifigures with the likeliness of Batman and Bane, the previous designs were all based on DC Comics or Batman animated series versions. These, however, are miniaturized facsimiles from the film itself. To satisfy hardcore fans of Batman, LEGO also added a winged Batman and Batman in his white costume for good measure. All are now available at select LEGO and toys retailers worldwide.

| Dover Street Market x Nike Air Force 1 “30th Anniversary” Posted: 16 Jul 2012 05:30 PM PDT Nike‘s ongoing celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Air Force 1 will soon include a joint venture with Dover Street Market, made up of two tonal colorways of the iconic sneaker. Each of the Dover Street Market Air Force 1s will sport an upper constructed from weatherproof ventile, a durable woven fabric traditionally found on outerwear, and feature a Tyvek tongue tag imprinted with the numbers 17 and 18. The digits make up the street number of Dover Street Market London, while also giving not to race day numbers worn by competitive runners. Look for the kicks to launch at DSM on July 28th. | Nike Launches “The Regal” Basketball Court | London Posted: 16 Jul 2012 04:30 PM PDT The newly unveiled Regal basketball court in Vauxhall, London, is Nike‘s gift to the city’s ballers, open free of charge to all skill levels with the intent of growing the game in London and the UK. The court’s wooden floor features basketball-specific line markings and “The Regal” branding in gold, while gold plated hoops are attached to tinted glass backboards with integrated LED lights, linked to the scoreboard and shot clocks. The surrounding walls are adorned with bespoke flock-effect wallpaper and a motivational quote from Luol Deng, the Chicago Bulls small forward who is also a member of the Great Britain national basketball team. There’s also a display of ten unique basketball jerseys celebrating British and international heroes of the game.
