![]() Elon Musk may not be the most personable guy in the world, but the man still knows how to have some fun along the way to becoming one of the most influential minds of this generation. Tesla owners will likely attest to this as they're front and center on all the Easter eggs that Musk and his people at the company have released over the years. The recent launch of the Model 3 brought the conversation of these Easter eggs back to the forefront, and while they don't really move the needle in terms of making Teslas more attractive in the consumer's eye, they're still fun little quirks that add to the appeal of these electric cars. Over the years, we've seen plenty of different Easter eggs from Tesla, some cooler and more fun than others. The Model 3 appears to be no different now that we're seeing the bag of eggs it has at its disposal. One particularly cool Easter egg, albeit a useless one in the grand scheme of things, is the ability of the navigation system to show a map of Mars and turn the Model 3 on the screen into the Mars Curiosity rover. This particular easter egg can be accessed by pressing and holding the "About Your Tesla" section of the infotainment screen until a second screen pops up. It's worth mentioning that this second screen actually has a menu of Easter eggs to choose from, including the familiar "Rainbow Road" and a new one called "More Cowbell." Yes, that cowbell. Apparently, Elon Musk has a fever... and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL! Oh, there’s also a sketchpad for drawing and writing notes, you know, while driving. ![]() The EV war is in full swing. One could argue that it all started with Tesla and the Tesla Roadster, but shots weren't really fired until Tesla debuted the Model S – the car that would trigger just about every major automaker out there to begin a grueling research and development process that promises a huge influx of all-electric vehicles by the early 2020s. While the big boys plug away at developing models that are affordable and capable of longer range smaller, specialty manufacturers have jumped into the pool head first. Case in point – Lucid Motors Air. Primed to be a true-to-life Tesla Model S fighter, this funky electric sedan comes with a 100-kWh battery pack that's good for a 240-mile range on the standard model and allows for 400 horsepower of near-instant power on demand. The car itself looks like a mix between a deformed Mazda RX-8 with a larger rear door and a Tesla Model S, really, but with a price of just $52,500, it's a strong proposition in the not-so-crowded EV segment. What's more, Lucid Motors developed a battery that is efficient and allows for quick charging without the risk of damage in the long run. But, it's not just the 100-kWh battery that is what's so amazing. It's the 130-kWh battery that allows for a 315-mile range and as much as 1,000 horsepower – the exact numbers promised by the Launch Edition model, or the first 255 models to roll off the production line. This means that Lucid should be able to offer a whole range of Air models with varying horsepower and range, and should be able to undercut Tesla quite easily. How it will compete in a few years when all of the big boys throw on the gloves is a different story, but for now, let's take a good look at the Air and talk some more about it. One look at the current automotive landscape is all you need to see the incredible popularity of the crossover and SUV bodystyle. Not only is the high-riding, off-roader-esque style widespread in the U.S, but it's gaining steam overseas as well. Taking advantage of the upwards trend is French automaker Citroen, which is reinvigorating its C3 nameplate with a new, next-gen crossover dubbed the C3 Aircross. Packing loads of customization options, a host of modern interior technology, and a wide selection of efficient gas and diesel powerplants, the C3 hopes to bring Citroen that sweet jacked-up hatchback success in a variety of markets across the world (minus the States, of course).
Framed as a "people-minded" crossover "inspired by customer expectations," the new C3 Aircross follows in the footsteps of the Citroen C3 Aircross Concept revealed in April at the Shanghai Auto Show, while also drawing inspiration from the C-Aircross concept that dropped at the Geneva Motor Show. Now, following an official debut at the Paris Motor Show, we have a ton of info on the new production-ready Citroen C3 Aircross. Read on for all the details.

I don't claim to be an expert in the driving habits of other people, but I do think that I'm speaking for a good segment of the population when I say that owning a Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta comes with it a number of important responsibilities. Taking good care of the rare supercar is obviously priority number one. Driving it responsibly is also important to remember when you have a car as fast, powerful, and expensive as this one. Driving it over a freshly mowed lawn, though? I don't think the LaFerrari Aperta is meant to be driven on that surface, but who am I to tell one owner of the hypercar where he can drive his prized exotic.
His actions do make for an entertaining four-minute video, that much I'll give him. Not only does he decide to pay no mind to the manicured lawn at the Heveningham Concours d’Elegance in Suffolk, England, he even goes so far as to drift on it, do short acceleration bursts, and perform donuts, much to the delight of the crowd who were there to see the spectacle. I will admit that if I was there, I'd probably be cheering with the rest of the people, but seeing it in video form does make me wonder if the owner is merely showboating or has very little regard for his super expensive Ferrari. I'd like to think that it's the former, but if I wouldn't be surprised if it’s a combination of the two.

Traffic sucks. That's a universal truth we can all agree on. And it doesn't matter if you're driving the latest Tesla Model 3 or a classic BMW E36 M3 – heavy traffic not only spoils the joy of driving but also exponentially increases the likelihood of a crash. What's worse is creeping along on the interstate, only to seemingly and instantly be back highway speeds without any visible reason for the hold-up. So how does this happen? Thankfully, the age-old question is answered in this rather informative and concise video.
I stumbled upon The Simple Solution to Traffic last night while perusing Facebook. Of course, anything dealing with the automotive sector generally warrants a quick glance, so away I started watching. It didn't take long before the animation and narration grabbed my full attention. Turns out, much of our traffic woes stem from inattentive drivers. While that comes to the surprise of exactly no one, the resulting effects last long after the offending texter or lane weaver has driven off. Interstate backups can occur due to "phantom intersections," or a rubber-banding effect between vehicles braking simply because the person in front of them brakes. Pretty soon, traffic is at a standstill. The solution, simply enough, it to maintain the same distance from the car in front.
However, people will inevitably make mistakes. The ultimate solution, as proposed by this video and many in the automotive field, is a fully autonomous fleet of vehicles. While this won't happen anytime soon, the result would be vehicles that communicate between themselves and the surrounding environment. The need for traffic lights at intersections would disappear, as would the nasty byproducts of human drivers like gridlocked city blocks in dense urban areas. Still, as an enthusiast and someone who generally enjoys driving, it would be hard to relinquish my steering wheel.
